“Hai să începem!” Today marks the official opening of the Sparkling Wines Session of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. Moldova in the international spotlight
This event is a historic milestone for Moldova, strengthening the country’s reputation as a premium producer of sparkling wines, an emerging wine tourism destination, and a key player in Eastern Europe’s wine industry.
A celebration of wine and culture
Beyond the blind tastings, the program includes winery visits, thematic workshops, and cultural activities, highlighting the richness of Moldovan wine, gastronomy, and hospitality.
“It is an honour to open this Sparkling Wines Session in Moldova. The country has shown remarkable progress in our competitions, and Chișinău is now a natural host city. One of CMB’s main missions is to reveal quality wines from every corner of the world – and Moldova is now firmly on that map!”
— Baudouin Havaux, President of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
“The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is more than awarding medals – it connects producers to new markets and gives them international visibility. Moldova is now firmly on the global wine map.
