France dominates the 2026 edition

Among all participating countries, France stands out clearly with a spectacular improvement in its results.

The percentage of medal-winning wines increased by 42% compared to 2025. This remarkable performance is also reflected at the highest level of the rankings: 7 Grand Gold Medals were awarded in 2026.

This strong momentum is largely driven by the excellent results of several regions:

  • Provence confirms its status as a global benchmark with 74 medals (including 3 Grand Gold Medals).
  • Languedoc-Roussillon records significant progress, with 43 medals including 19 Gold and 23 Silver.
  • Loire Valley, which will host the Rosé Wine Session in Anjou-Saumur in 2027, earned 14 medals, including a Grand Gold Medal for a Rosé d’Anjou.
  • Rhône Valley also stands out, with two Grand Gold Medals, including the France Rosé Revelation: RS Rosé 2025, Côtes du Rhône by the Vermeersch family.

Other regions such as Champagne and Corsica complete this picture of excellence, confirming the diversity and quality of French rosé production.

Italy wins the Vinolok Trophy – International Rosé Revelation 2026

As host country of this session, Italy maintains a strong position in terms of volume and improves its results at the top of the rankings, with more Gold and Grand Gold Medals.

The Abruzzo region stands out in particular by winning the Vinolok Trophy – International Rosé Revelation 2026 with Talamonti Rosé 2025 from Azienda Vinicola Talamonti.

Spain, Portugal, Romania: strong and evolving markets

While France and Italy dominate this edition, other major producing countries confirm their importance on the international stage.

A new distinction: CMB Merit

The 2026 edition also marks the introduction of a new quality label: CMB Merit.

Awarded to wines that obtained a score of 86 points or more without reaching medal level, CMB Merit aims to highlight quality wines that truly deserve market attention. It also allows the producers concerned to benefit from additional marketing tools offered by the CMB.
