Andrés Arenas, New Operating Director of the Wine Bar by CMB Mexico

The Wine Bar by CMB is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrés Arenas Mendiola as the new Operating Director of its Mexico City venue. With a solid career spanning more than three decades in the hospitality industry, Arenas brings his experience, vision, and leadership to this space dedicated to gastronomic and oenological excellence.

Born in Mexico City and 47 years old, Andrés Arenas has built a remarkable career in restaurant management and front-of-house service. He studied Architecture at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and is a certified sommelier by the Mexican Sommelier Association (ASM), where he also serves as Coordinator of the Competitions Committee.

Over the course of 32 years in hospitality and 14 years in the field of sommellerie, he has led emblematic projects such as Restaurante L’Olivier and La Gloutonnerie, in addition to serving as Wine Tourism Manager at Vinícola El Cielo in Valle de Guadalupe. His trajectory through high-end restaurants in Mexico City has established him as a benchmark in team management, personalized service, and the pairing of gastronomic experiences with fine wines and beverages.
