Ana Mucalo, Ph.D. in viticulture and enology. Research associate at the Department of Plant Sciences, Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation in Split (http://amucalo.os.krs.hr/en/). My research is focused on the ecophysiology of grape ripening and biochemical changes in berries during ripening in the coastal areas of the Adriatic Sea. My viticultural core research focus is improving production efficiency in vineyards by applying innovative ampelotechnique interventions to moderate the effects of environmental stress. The enology core research focus is determining the influence of different viticultural and vinification practices on wine composition and quality.
