Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and Verema Launch the First-Ever “CMB & VEREMA Experience” in Madrid
Brussels Meets Madrid: A Professional Event Dedicated Exclusively to CMB Medal-Winning Wines on 23 November 2026
Madrid, 23 November 2026 – The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles | CMB and Verema are joining forces to launch a new professional event dedicated exclusively to producers whose wines have been recognised by the CMB. On 23 November 2026, the inaugural CMB & VEREMA Experience will bring together key players from the Spanish and international wine trade in Madrid for a business-focused event designed to generate meaningful connections and commercial opportunities.
This is the first event reserved exclusively for CMB-awarded producers. Its objective is straightforward: to help medal-winning wineries turn their accolades into greater visibility, qualified business contacts and new distribution opportunities.
Turning a CMB Medal into Business Opportunities
Every year, a medal from the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles serves as a powerful endorsement of quality for both consumers and wine professionals. With the launch of the CMB & VEREMA Experience, the competition takes the next step by providing producers with a dedicated commercial platform to maximise the value of their awards.
Designed as a selective and highly targeted event, the format offers a more focused and productive alternative to traditional trade fairs, encouraging direct exchanges and high-value meetings between producers and buyers.
The event is aimed at key decisionmakers across the wine industry, including importers, distributors, hospitality and restaurant buyers, wine merchants, sommeliers, specialised journalists and industry influencers. More than 1,500 wine professionals are expected to attend throughout the day.
Spain remains one of the world’s most dynamic wine markets and provides a strategic gateway to the wider Spanish-speaking world. Madrid therefore offers the ideal setting for international producers seeking to expand their commercial reach and develop new market opportunities.
Three Ways to Participate
The CMB & VEREMA Experience has been designed to accommodate a range of promotional and commercial objectives.
Showroom
Exhibitors will benefit from an individual tasting space where they can showcase their wines to a qualified professional audience, establish new business relationships and strengthen their presence in the Spanish market.
Thematic Masterclasses and Tastings
Producers, wine regions and collective organisations will have the opportunity to host guided tastings and presentations, highlighting their identity, terroirs and projects before a targeted audience of professionals and opinion leaders.
Medal Gallery
For producers unable to attend in person, the Medal Gallery offers a dedicated showcase exclusively featuring CMB medal-winning wines. This option ensures strong visibility among professional visitors throughout the event.
Visibility Before, During and After the Event
Participation in the CMB & VEREMA Experience extends far beyond a single day of business meetings. Producers will benefit from a comprehensive communication programme delivered jointly by the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and Verema.
The package includes pre-event promotion, enhanced visibility among professional and consumer wine communities, and extensive editorial and media coverage before, during and after the event.
The programme will feature tastings, networking opportunities and professional meetings, culminating in an evening dinner bringing together Spanish and international importers alongside leading wine journalists.
An Exclusive Opportunity Reserved for Medal-Winning Producers
Access to the CMB & VEREMA Experience is strictly reserved for producers awarded by the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, guaranteeing a level of excellence, credibility and quality recognised by wine professionals worldwide.
With this new initiative, the CMB and Verema reaffirm their commitment to supporting producers beyond the competition itself by providing practical tools to help them strengthen their presence in international markets.
“Today more than ever, partnerships and synergies are essential. By combining the expertise of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles with the strength of Verema’s network, we are creating a platform capable of delivering genuine added value to producers. In an increasingly competitive environment, bringing together our expertise, our networks and our shared capabilities is simply common sense. We believe this collaboration has all the ingredients to become a lasting fixture in the international wine calendar.”
Frédéric Galtier, Ambassador of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
