Solveig Grohne is a Category Manager for Wine & Spirits at Dirk Rossmann GmbH, one of the largest drugstore chains in Europe with over 4,700 stores, half of which are located in Germany. Last year in Istria Solveig attended the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) for the first time, and she graciously shared her insights from the event:

The sheer number of jurors and the meticulous planning by the CMB team and the Istrian wine region left me in awe. My first step into the tasting hall was truly impressive. The ideal tasting conditions, technical equipment, and the volume of samples per day highlight the high level of professionalism in this competition.

In the German market, wine medals carry considerable importance. Consumer trust and the ability to trace the quality of a product are pivotal factors. Medals, coupled with strategic marketing initiatives can significantly enhance sales.
