“Aròmes de Victòria: els Ors del CMB2023” : a great tasting of sweet wines awarded at CMB 2023 in the framework of the Malvasia Week in Sitges

On November 17, as part of the 9th Setmana de la Malvasia, a tasting event featuring sweet wines from around the world, which were awarded at the recent CMB, took place.

A total of 6 wines were presented, showcasing the oenological treasures of sweet, fortified, and liqueur wines from various regions. The occasion also provided an opportunity to delve into the extensive history of Malvasia globally and in the town of Sitges, located approximately forty kilometers from Barcelona, a region boasting the only toponymic mention of Malvasia in the world!

The tasting concluded with the medal presentation by Frédéric Galtier, the representative of the Competition, who expressed a particular fondness for the Garraf region (the coastal part of the Penedès) and for this exceptional white grape variety—now one of the most widely planted in Catalonia.
