New Appointment at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

As part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in Latin America and further expand its international network of ambassadors, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chilean sommelier Natalia Jiménez as the new CMB Ambassador for Chile.

This appointment is part of the CMB’s ongoing commitment to strengthening collaboration with key leaders across the global wine industry, encouraging greater participation from producers, wine professionals, and specialists in one of the world’s most prestigious and internationally recognized wine competitions.

With nearly two decades of experience in the Chilean wine industry, Natalia Jiménez has built a distinguished career combining technical education, wine service, teaching, specialized communication, and editorial production. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with some of Chile’s leading wineries, contributed to the education of new generations of sommeliers, and developed technical content for a variety of industry publications.

Within the fields of international wine competitions and fine dining, Natalia Jiménez has participated in the service teams for major events including the ASI Best Sommelier of the World Competition 2010, the ASI Best Sommelier of the Americas Competition 2015, and the South Beer Cup (Copa Cervezas de América). Among the highlights of her career is her role as sommelier for Wines of Chile during the prestigious CELAC–EU Summit 2013, as well as her direct involvement in the wine service for masterclasses and events led by Josep Roca of the acclaimed Catalan restaurant El Celler de Can Roca during the Roca BBVA Tour in Chile.

As CMB Ambassador for Chile, Natalia Jiménez will be responsible for strengthening the relationship between the competition and the Chilean wine industry by promoting the participation of Chilean producers across the various CMB sessions, supporting educational and promotional activities, and collaborating on initiatives designed to further enhance the visibility and prestige of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles within the country’s wine sector.

“Chile occupies a privileged position in the global wine landscape thanks to the quality of its producers, the diversity of its wine regions, and the international recognition of its wines. We are confident that Natalia Jiménez’s experience, technical expertise, and communication skills will make a significant contribution to strengthening the CMB’s presence in the country,” said Baudouin Havaux, President of the CMB.

With this appointment, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles reaffirms its commitment to building a network of ambassadors composed of highly respected professionals capable of representing the values of independence, excellence, and technical rigor that have defined the competition since its creation and have established it as a trusted benchmark for wine producers, buyers, and consumers in more than 50 countries.
